MAX 505 is developed as a water displacement fluid where rapid removal of water is desirable, especially after being machined by a water-soluble fluid. It yields a very thin protection coating that offers temporary protection against rust for up to 3-4 weeks indoor.
Depending on the size or type of work piece to be treated, MAX 505 can be applied by brushing or dipping. The thin oily film does not hamper with subsequent machining operations. MAX 505 is best recommended for work piece in transit between machining operations using soluble cutting fluids. It contains metal passivator and is particularly protective when treating non-ferrous materials like copper and brass.
